Exercise Technique Workshop- Level 1

Your Healthy Dancer has one purpose in mind- to help your dancer be healthy now, and most importantly, for a lifetime!

Workshop Overview:

This Workshop builds upon the foundation of the Corrective Exercise Program learned during the Level 1 and 2 Wellness Workshops.

Dancers need knowledge of how to assess and self-adjust the physical intensity of their dance and fitness training. This ensures dancers can best adapt to their
fitness needs, whether it’s during injury recovery or performance season.

This interactive 1.5-hour Workshop covers topics including:

1) Improving Exercise Technique.

2) How to Implement Circuit Training.

3) Movement as a Continuum.

Each Dancer will Receive:

  • 1.5 hours of Interactive Group Instruction
  • An Exercise Band
  • A Copy of Workshop Materials
  • Complementary Screening at Mariners Physical Therapy (Optional)

Dancers' Testimonials:

Here is what dancers shared after completing this Workshop at Orange County School of the Arts Ballet Conservatory.

.
"Just because you can't do a particular step, it doesn't mean you quit. You can take one step down in (physical) intensity. If you can't do 3 turns, start with 1 turn."
Malia 11th Grader
.
“Thank you for continuing to make an impact on the next generation of dancers!
.
The exercises you taught us have been really helpful in maintaining my strength especially since dancing at home isn’t the same as dancing in a studio.”
~ Rachel 11th Grader
