Certified Nutrition Coaching

Welcome! My name is Genevieve Sepulveda. I am a Certified Nutrition Coach with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the owner of Your Healthy Dancer.

Nutrition is a key part of a healthy life. Often the people I've worked with have a desire to eat healthier, but don't know where to start, or how to consistently implement healthier habits. That's where I come in!

Purpose:

As a Certified Nutrition Coach, I have the joy of demystifying the beliefs and undesired habits that my clients have surrounding food. So that I can help them to enjoy food more, feel nourished and have the energy to live life as they were meant to.

If you've taken the Your Healthy Dancer Wellness Workshop or Nutrition Workshop, you'll notice that Certified Nutrition Coaching is different in its personalization.

This kind of coaching is a space where to dive into your goals and nutrition needs in more detail. As well as provide you with nutrition programming, support and accountability.

What does an Initial Session look like?

An initial Certified Nutrition Coaching session focuses on 3 main areas.

1) Reviewing your lifestyle and health history.

2) Discussing your big picture health and fitness goals, as well as the obstacles you currently have to achieving those goals.

3) Assess your customized energy and macronutrient needs. You will receive a PDF with a detailed recommendation of your exact calorie, carb, fat and protein needs.

This calorie and macronutrient recommendation takes into account several factors which include your gender, age, height, activity level, desired macronutrient ratio (general, ketogenic, low fat, low carb or high protein), goal weight, and the desired timeline for the weight loss or weight gain.

What do Follow-Up Sessions look like?

Followup sessions will be customized to help you implement and achieve your nutrition related health goals.

These sessions may include:

  • SMART Goal setting
  • Nutrition education
  • Nutrition timing
  • Identifying your nutrition values and discrepancies
  • Meal planning
  • Grocery shopping
  • Meal and snack recipes
  • Body fat measurements (Orange County clients only)
